Prairie Fire Port is collaboration from our best Frontenac vineyards. The Grapes are picked at peek ripeness containing sugar levels of 26-28 Brix. They are then fermented on the skins to bring out the rich color and mouthwatering tannins from the grapes. The wine is made as a port style with a strong dose of brandy added into the fermenting wine. This dose of brandy will stop the wine from fermenting which will keep the wine naturally sweet and very strong due to the brandy addition. The wine will spend over a year in French oak casks before it is bottled. Prairie Fire has been selected by the NWGGA as one of the best Nebraska dessert wines and produced 6 medals through out the country.
